Where were you born? Year, Country, State. Where do you live currently?
I was born in 1972, south of Sydney, Australia, in a suburb near the beach and the bush and now live in the seaside village of Thirroul, even further south and even closer to the beach and the bush.
What initially drew you to drawing pretty pictures?
I was that small and it was that long ago I can’t remember. But I do remember Saturday morning cartoons and my love of those animations and the thousands and thousands of drawings that make them. Those colours, motions, movements and gags were the things that inspired me to draw. And of course skateboard graphics and album art.
Who is your favorite skateboarder, living or dead? Any ties to skateboarding?
I’m old school and I’d have to stick with Mike McGill and the Bones Brigade. What else can I say but: 1984, the McTwist... My first two skateboards were McGills so I have to stay loyal. I don’t skate much anymore but all those years doing it have influenced my surfing, which I do almost every day.
