Where were you born? Year, Country, State. Where do you live currently?

I was born in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Currently live in a small town called Kimberley in BC.

What initially drew you to drawing pretty pictures?

I got bored of drawing ugly ones.

Who is your favorite skateboarder, living or dead? Any ties to skateboarding?

I got into skating a few years ago when my boyfriend and some friends built a mini-ramp in our back shop. I dig that old Almost Video 'Cheese and Crackers'.  I like how those guys Chris Haslam and Daemon Song are so creative with skating. I get pumped on some of the guys that skate the park in town here too.  My father in law who loves to shred the park at 6am with his knee pads on. Long-haired Dan, just those guys that have had so much fun with it over so many years.

Who is your favorite artist, living or dead?

The answer to this question is constantly changing and I think should continue to change. I'm inspired by some of the stuff tattoo artists are doing these days. Heather McLean and Cody Eich in Canada. Old gothic illustrations by Edward Gorey.  And the artists behind some really cool graphic novels, Fabrice Lamy and Olivier Vatine. The way those guys capture movement and atmosphere, again and again on every page, it's actually depressing.

When you're not creating amazing works of art, what do you enjoy doing?

We just bought a property outside of town so a lot of my time these days is going into renos and clearing up the land down by the creek. I've got a dual sport motorcycle that's good for exploring. Drink coffee. Do yoga. Archery. Hunt. Snowboard. Garden a bit. Cook things with garlic.

Who are your biggest influences?

Bill Watterson and Eddie Vedder when he had long hair.

What mediums do you enjoy working in?

Woodburning and finger painting.

Anything else you want to tell?

Yea but it's a secret.
