I'm Laotian but born in Thailand in 1982. My family migrated here to Chicago in 1983 and been here ever since.
What initially drew you to drawing pretty pictures?
I was initially drawn to drawing/painting because it separated me from the pack. It gave me a unique identity.
Who is your favorite skateboarder, living or dead? Any ties to skateboarding?
My favorite skater is Bart Simpson. I don't care much for skateboarding.
Who is your favorite artist, living or dead?
My favorite artist is Julian Schnabel, William DeKooning, Hung Liu, Ching Ping, and The Wu Tang Clan
When you're not creating amazing works of art, what do you enjoy doing?
When I'm not painting, I'm writing and producing raps with my posse, The Almighty "Maintenance Crew".
Who are your biggest influences?
My biggest influence is my brother Von Kommanivanh who guided me into making ART.
What mediums do you enjoy working in?
I enjoy working in mixed media.
